There is something so beautiful about a wedding palette that feels both refined and natural. At the Estate at Yountville, this celebration brought together soft blues, periwinkle, creamy neutrals, and fresh greenery for a look that felt romantic, understated, and perfectly suited to wine country. With the groom in classic black tie and a reception beneath a tent illuminated by twinkle lights, the entire evening had an effortless elegance.
The floral palette brought together garden roses, roses, peonies, butterfly ranunculus, and sweet peas, with blue delphinium and white larkspur adding soft color, height, and movement. I love how these flowers work together to create arrangements that feel lush without being overly structured. The layered petals of the garden roses and peonies brought a sense of fullness, while the delicate sweet peas and airy blooms added a lighter, more natural quality. Touches of periwinkle and blue carried the palette through the reception, balanced by creamy whites and fresh greenery.
The bride's bouquet offered its own quiet moment of beauty, featuring lily of the valley. With its delicate, bell-shaped blooms and graceful stems, lily of the valley has such a timeless quality. It was a lovely complement to the garden-inspired florals throughout the celebration, adding a softer, more understated touch to the overall design.
For the reception, I wanted the arrangements to feel loose and garden-inspired rather than overly structured. A mix of tall floral arrangements and lower centerpieces created variation across the tables, giving the room a beautiful sense of rhythm. The taller designs added dimension, while the shorter arrangements kept the tables feeling intimate and inviting. Rather than repeating the same centerpiece at every table, the variation allowed the florals to feel organic and thoughtfully layered.
Candlelight was woven throughout the tables, adding warmth and intimacy as the evening unfolded. Overhead, twinkle lights stretched across the tent, creating a softly illuminated canopy above the reception. Together, the glowing lights and flickering candles made the space feel magical without taking away from the natural beauty of the flowers.
The Estate at Yountville is such a lovely setting for this style of celebration. Its wine country atmosphere lends itself beautifully to thoughtful, layered design, where elegant details can feel relaxed rather than overly formal. Here, the soft blue palette, garden-inspired arrangements, and warm lighting came together to create a reception that felt timeless yet full of personality.
I loved how the elements worked together without feeling too perfectly arranged. The flowers brought softness and movement, the candlelight added intimacy, and the twinkle lights overhead gave the entire space a beautiful evening glow. It was a reminder that some of the most memorable floral designs are those that embrace natural texture, thoughtful color, and the beauty of each individual bloom.
